Star & Key Rum expands to Poland
By Miona MadsenMauritian rum brand Star & Key has partnered with distributor Cerville Investments to launch in Poland.

Cobblestone Brands launched Star & Key in 2024. The rum debuted in Poland in late 2024.
Star & Key is produced at the Labourdonnais Estate in Mauritius using fresh sugar cane juice rather than molasses.
The team behind Cobblestone Brands had previously worked with Cerville on Glendalough Distillery’s whiskey and gin portfolio.
Sławomir Kojło, board member of Cerville, said: “We’ve long admired the team behind Star & Key’s approach – their passion for authenticity, quality, and sense of place really resonates with modern spirits consumers.
“Our early placements and interest from top-tier retailers and bars have been fantastic. Poland is ready for a rum like this, and we’re excited to help it thrive.”
With the extended partnership, Star & Castle Rum is available in Poland with two varieties: VSOP, which is aged for a minimum of four years in ex-Cognac casks; and Passion Fruit Rum, a rum-based spirit infused with estate-grown passion fruit.
Nich Wiehe is rum maker and co-founder of Star & Key Rum, whose family has stewarded the Labourdonnais estate for eight generations. He will attend the Rum Love Festival in Wrocław from 13-14 June, to meet trade partners and consumers.
He said: “We don’t just make rum – we grow it, harvest it, distil and age it all on our estate. To bring that story to life in Poland and meet rum lovers face to face is a privilege. I’m excited to share the taste of Mauritius with such a passionate and growing rum community.”
The expansion in Poland is part of the brand’s global growth plan, following in the footsteps of successful launches in the US, Belgium, Luxembourg, and Germany.
