Eden Mill Gin’s ‘origin story’ told in new look
By Georgie CollinsScottish distillery Eden Mill has revealed a refreshed look for its core gin range, with a new bottle and label design that pulls focus onto the spirit’s locally sourced botanicals.

The ‘striking’ new bottle is an evolution of Eden Mill’s existing pack, which continues to boast its signature dimpled glass with the addition of a larger label, making it more prominent on shelf.
A wide set cork replaces the previous screw top, further adding to the bottle’s presence on the back bar or grocery shelves.
Furthermore, each of the three core products – Love Gin, Original Gin and Golf Gin – has a bespoke illustration on the label, which speaks to the product’s origin story.
Love Gin, the brand’s pink gin expression, celebrates Fife’s fertile hedgerows and rich tradition of berry growing. The label includes a love heart illustration, detailing the raspberries and strawberries that are picked minutes away from the distillery, which is located on the banks of the Eden Estuary in St Andrews, to create this fruity gin.
Meanwhile, Original Gin is described as an ode to the ‘hardy’ Fife coastline and the rugged botanicals that grow there. Sea buckthorn berries and honeyberries are the heroes in this product, which are described as ‘deceptively fruity botanicals’ that thrive in the harshest coastal conditions. Scottish kombu seaweed complements these sweet notes with a subtle salinity.

Finally, the relaunch comes as Eden Mill’s Golf Gin expression becomes the world’s first spirit to be distilled with botanicals foraged from the Old Course in St Andrews – including gorse, heather and lavender.
Golf Gin is available in more than 200 Waitrose stores across the UK.
Rennie Donaldson, CEO at Eden Mill, said: “2025 is a huge year for Eden Mill, with our distillery now operational and our visitor centre opening to the public in August.
“To coincide, we wanted to update our core gins to bring a vibrant new look to the range and on-shelf presence in the on and off trade.
“Central to this refresh have been the botanical stories that underpin each of the three gins. Our excellent network of farms and growers has allowed us to celebrate the rich larder of fruits and botanicals available along the east coast of Scotland.”
Eden Mill’s distillery is powered by 100% renewable sources. Its energy comes from either the solar farm belonging to the University of St Andrews, or from renewable tariffs on the grid.
The business is working on various other sustainability initiatives, including a partnership with MiAlgae. This initiative sees effluent from the distillation process used to create a source of algae that doesn’t rely on sea fish stocks.
Eden Mill aims to create gins and Scotch whiskies with minimal environmental impact by combining traditional distilling techniques with innovation.
