Have you entered your gin into the annual blind tasting?

In early June, The Global Spirits Masters Competitions (GSMC) will host The Gin Masters to find and reward the finest juniper-forward spirits on the market.

Chaired by The Spirits Business, entrants will be assessed by independent tasting experts – unique to the industry.

Those that meet the requirements based on appearance, aroma, taste and balance will be awarded Silver, Gold and Master medals.

The entry deadline is 16 May, with samples needed by 27 May.

Melita Kiely, editor of The Spirits Business and chair of The GSMC, said: “The Gin Masters provides a platform to receive recognition based solely on the liquid inside the bottle. And in such a vast and competitive category, it’s a great way to stand out on the shelf.

“This blind tasting is a brilliant opportunity to show consumers and trade partners alike that they can trust the quality of the gin, regardless of the packaging.”

The Spirits Business‘ annual World Spirits Report delved into the gin category in detail in December last year. The analysis found there are still swathes of growth opportunities for the juniper-forward category.
