Ben Lomond Gin returns to The Open
By Miona MadsenThe official gin of The Open, Ben Lomond, has released its 2025 limited edition for the 153rd golf championship, which will take place this July in Portrush, Northern Ireland.

Owned by Loch Lomond Group, Ben Lomond Gin debuted in 2019 and has been the official gin of The Open since 2023.
The Royal Portrush Golf Club in Northern Ireland will host the 153rd Open from 13 to 20 July.
To celebrate the event, Ben Lomond has created a limited edition London Dry gin that features botanicals picked directly from the course in County Antrim, such as wild carrot seed, sea buckthorn, and hawthorn leaf.
John Grieveson, chief marketing officer, said: “We’re proud to unveil our 2025 Special Edition in celebration of The 153rd Open at Royal Portrush, a world-renowned course that perfectly embodies the wild, natural beauty we draw inspiration from at Ben Lomond Gin.
“This year’s special edition brings together our signature bold flavour profile with hand-foraged botanicals from the rugged landscape of Portrush, capturing the coastal character and adventurous spirit that define both the course and our gin.”
Offered at 43% ABV, the gin features a coastal character highlighted by pine and subtle floral and citrus aromas. The palate reveals aniseed, earthy spices, sweet carrot, warm nutty notes, and a sharp tartness.
Ben Lomond Gin’s 2025 edition is now available for £35 (US$47) for a 700ml bottle, or as a set with two branded glasses retailing for £45 (US$61).
Grieveson added: “As the official gin of The Open, we’re honoured to continue this partnership for a third year and look forward to raising a glass to the players and fans as the world’s greatest golfers take on the legendary links of Royal Portrush.”
Loch Lomond Group unveiled two limited edition single malts to commemorate The Open Championship earlier this year.
The company moved into American whiskey this week by purchasing New York Distilling Co.
