BasBas joins Bemakers
By Miona MadsenHoly Seed Beverage Group has partnered with Danish platform Bemakers to expand the availability of its Ibizan liqueur brand BasBas.

Based on a recipe passed down through five generations, BasBas is a ‘hierbas’ liqueur – a blend of more than a dozen wild herbs and spices – originating from Ibiza.
The spirit originates from 16th-century monks who first distilled the island’s wild herbs into what would become hierbas, ‘the essence of Ibicenco culture’.
According to the brand, monks often used fermented wild anise as a remedy, extracting essential oils from other herbs such as rosemary, juniper, chamomile, and sage into the alcohol.
BasBas is crafted by macerating botanicals in herbal spirit for 10 months, and is offered at 25% ABV.
The liqueur can be enjoyed neat and chilled, or mixed in the brand’s signature serve made with equal parts BasBas, sparkling wine, and soda.
Paul Geller, founder of Holy Seed Beverage Group, commented: “Some brands come to life in labs. BasBas was born barefoot, under the Ibizan sun, with a recipe passed down five generations and stories wild enough to need a sip or two before telling.
“We couldn’t be happier to welcome BasBas to the Bemakers family and platform live across all Bemakers markets, including Spain, as well as on Bemakers Trade.”
Now available through Bemarkers’ platform in Denmark, Germany, Spain, and Sweden, BasBas retails for SEK400 (€37/US$42).
Earlier this year, Bemakers welcomed The Duppy Share rum to its portfolio in Denmark, and was approved by the UK’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) as a provider of services.
In March, gin-based shot brand Wattshot teamed up with the Danish distributor to expand its presence in Europe.
