Tequila Stack-owned brand Casazar transcends mere novelty by merging cultural roots with the most important aspect: flavour and character.

Max Ramirez and Viviana Sierraalta-Ramirez, two ex-Diageo executives and industry veterans, launched Casazar in November 2024.

The husband-and-wife team were driven by passion, determination, and courage to go ‘all in’ in pursuit of a dream to create a brand that would stand out in the crowded market, not only visually but also gastronomically.

Less than a year since its launch, Casazar has quickly gained momentum and garnered industry accolades. Most recently, at The Tequila & Mezcal Masters 2025, Casazar Tequila won two Gold and a Master medal.

The brand’s joven and reposado bagged Gold in their ultra-premium 100% agave Tequila categories. Earning a Master medal, Casazar Tequila Añejo impressed the judges with its “very expressive nose with plenty of earthy roasted agave and peppery spice, creamy and syrupy on the palate with drying oak and peppery spice balanced with sweet golden syrup and charred agave.”

Judge Matt Chambers, director and co‐founder of the Whisky For Everyone blog, described Casazar Añejo as “so delicious”.

The crisp and floral joven is a blend of blanco and aged Tequilas, while the reposado has been matured for seven months in American oak casks. The Master-winning añejo is bottled after 21 months of ageing in American oak barrels.

Crafted in the heart of Jalisco, Mexico, all Casazar Tequilas are made with 100% Blue Weber agave, honouring traditions and the land. According to the brand, the Tequila is designed for those who live like a high-stakes poker game – fearless, driven, and willing to take risks.

The ceramic ‘stack of chips’ bottles are individually moulded and hand-painted. Their gold accents are applied using precious metal painting. In line with the branding, the bottles feature card suits with clubs replaced by an agave leaf.

Casazar Tequila is available in select US states in 750ml formats as well as from the brand’s website. The joven retails for US$119.99, the reposado for US$169.99, and the añejo for US$279.99.
