La Pulga Spirits expands distribution
By Ted SimmonsThe La Pulga portfolio of Mexican spirits will now be available in markets beyond its home state of Texas.

La Pulga Spirits is branching out with its portfolio of Mexican-made spirits.
The company was founded in Fort Worth, Texas, and previously only offered its range locally. Now, the brand will be available in Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, Oklahoma, Rhode Island and Tennessee, with additional states to come.
The range includes blanco, reposado, and añejo Tequilas, as well as a mezcal, and a sotol.
“In the short time since we launched La Pulga, we’re very proud that it has already become one of the fastest-growing Tequila brands in Texas,” CEO Alan Thompson said. “We’re excited to build on our Texas success and introduce our premium small batch Tequilas, mezcal and sotol to spirits drinkers across the country.”
Alongside news of wider distribution, La Pulga is releasing two limited edition Tequilas in Texas, 55% ABV (110 proof) versions of its blanco and reposado expressions.
“Blanco 110 and Reposado 110 are innovative high-proof Tequilas that truly bring out the deep character and complexity of our high-quality agave,” Thompson added.
La Pulga takes its name from an outdoor market in Fort Worth. The brand was founded in 2020 by friends Sarah Castillo, Andrew De La Torre, and Stephen Slaughter.
The brand is represented by Republic National Distributing Company (RNDC) in Texas, Colorado, and Oklahoma; the New Jersey Beverage Alliance in New Jersey; Northeast Beverage in Connecticut; and Mancini Beverage in Rhode Island.
In Tennessee, the brand is distributed by Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits in Memphis; Athens Distributing in Nashville; and D&V Distributing Co in Knoxville.
