Glen Grant debuts Exploration series in GTR
By Miona MadsenCampari Group-owned Scotch whisky The Glen Grant has launched the Exploration series exclusively in global travel retail (GTR).

The new series from The Glen Grant celebrates James ‘The Major’ Grant’s passion for exploration and experimentation with diverse cask finishes.
The Glen Grant Exploration Series is presented in ‘premium and refined’ packaging that reinforces The Major’s global travels during the 19th century.
Supported by an omnichannel marketing campaign, The Glen Grant Exploration No1 will be available exclusively in GTR from March to August 2025. Travellers will be able to explore new additions to the series biannually.
The new single malt release is initially aged in Bourbon barrels and finished in Caribbean rum casks. Bottled at 48% ABV without chill filtration, the expression displays notes of tropical fruits, ripe banana, toasted coconut, rich dark sugar, and warming spices on the palate.
The release is said to reflect the growing importance of travel retail to Campari Group.
Biancamaria Sansone, marketing and customer communications director at Campari Group GTR, said: “The arrival of The Glen Grant Exploration Series is a landmark moment in our ongoing investment into Scotch whisky in travel retail.
“Travellers across Asia Pacific are seeking more innovative and exclusive whisky experiences, and our first avant-première launch for The Glen Grant meets this growing need. Travel retail provides the perfect platform for discovery and our omnichannel campaign brings the story of ‘The Major’ to life in a new and immersive way. We are confident travellers will enjoy uncovering this distinctive liquid for the first time.”
The inaugural release is now available at 37 premium Asia-Pacific airports in eight key countries: Australia, China and Hong Kong SAR, India, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, and Thailand.
Last month, The Glen Grant launched the Splendours Collection with a US$50,000 65-year-old single malt.
