Captain Morgan showcases new RTD flavours
By Miona MadsenDiageo-owned Captain Morgan has launched four new sweet and spicy flavours in its Sliced ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail range.

Captain Morgan first debuted its Sliced RTD range last year with four non-rum, malt-based cocktails: Pineapple Daiquiri, Strawberry Margarita, Passionfruit Hurricane, and Mango Mai Tai.
Last month, the brand introduced its chilli and lime-flavoured spirit drink in the US.
Now, continuing its exploration of the combination of sweet and spicy flavours, the brand has unveiled the ‘Sweet vs Heat’ variety pack, comprising: Chili Lime Margarita-, Jalapeño Paloma-, Blackberry Mojito-, and Peach on the Beach-style beverages.
The pack contains three cans of each new flavour.
Justin Faiber, director of brand marketing for flavoured malt beverages (FMB) and RTDs at Captain Morgan, said: “As the sweet-meets-spicy flavour trend continues to grow, the Sweet vs Heat variety pack brings that dynamic to life in a way that’s elevated and convenient.
“This exciting innovation is about meeting consumers with what they are asking for: delivering bold flavour in a ready-to-enjoy format. Whether they’re craving smooth sweetness or a fiery kick, Sweet vs Heat proves that Sliced is better. Especially when you don’t have to choose.”
The new Captain Morgan Sliced RTDs, offered at 5% ABV, are available in a 12-can variety pack with a suggested retail price of US$18.99.
The packs will be available nationwide in the US in the upcoming weeks.
Last year, Captain Morgan partnered with Pepsi Max to launch a canned rum and cola RTD.
In January, the rum brand took over New Orleans’ famous party street to coincide with Super Bowl LIX.
