Brother’s Bond campaign champions sustainability
By Miona MadsenAmerican whiskey brand Brother’s Bond has launched its Shake & Stir Up Change campaign to inspire drinkers to sip more sustainably.

The Earth Month initiative, which runs throughout April, aims to highlight the brand’s sustainably made Bourbon and support regenerative agriculture.
Brother’s Bond Bourbon was co-founded in 2021 by The Vampire Diaries actors and long-time friends Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley.
Established with a mission to create exceptional whiskey while preserving the planet for future generations, the new initiative continues to spotlight the brand’s commitment to sustainable craftsmanship.
The brand’s limited release Regenerative Grain Straight Bourbon, which is crafted with regenerative grains grown within 20 miles of the North Carolina-based distillery, is at the heart of its Shake & Stir Up Change campaign.
The expression blends a three-year-old Bourbon and a wheated Bourbon aged six years using custom toast and char methods.
Somerhalder commented: “To us, Bourbon is about more than flavour: it’s about legacy and impact. Regenerative farming isn’t just an agricultural shift – it’s a hopeful solution to the climate crisis.
“By caring for the land and supporting the farmers who steward it, we’re creating a richer, more meaningful whiskey experience that preserves the earth for future generations. Every sip connects us to something bigger, and every pour is a step toward something better.”
Today (22 April) at 10am PT, Brother’s Bond will join a live conversation on Common Ground Film’s YouTube channel.
The brand will also be featured across Texas this April in Spec’s Wine, Spirits & Finer Foods liquor stores’ ‘Healthy Soil, Healthy Planet’ campaign, encouraging consumers to support regeneration by donating at checkout.
Regenerative farming
Brother’s Bond is committed to transitioning the Bourbon-making process to 100% regenerative practices. The company supports the shift of US farmland to regenerative agriculture, aiming to reach 100 million acres by 2030.
Since its founding, Brother’s Bond has supported Kiss the Ground, a non-profit organisation that advocates for regenerative practices and healthy soil as solutions to wellness, water, and climate crises.
The brand has donated a portion of every bottle sold to promote soil health. By supporting Kiss The Ground, the brand is part of a larger movement aimed at helping over 36m acres in the US transition to regenerative practices.
In celebration of Earth Month, Brother’s Bond has created two eco-conscious cocktails on the brand’s website: Espresso Regentini and Carbon Capture Cold Brew, featuring Kiss the Ground’s certified regenerative coffee beans.
Last year, Somerhalder and Wesley spoke of the brand’s regenerative practices in the first episode of The Spirits Business Podcast, and in February, Somerhalder joined a Q&A at The Spirits Business Hub at ProWein.
The brand is distributed in the US by Banfi Vintners, and has recently broadened its global reach by launching in Europe, Asia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
