Aberfeldy launches Whisky Explorer Experience
By Miona MadsenBacardi-owned Dewar’s Aberfeldy Distillery has introduced its new visitors experience for the 2025 season.

The Whisky Explorer Experience at Highland distillery Aberfeldy offers visitors an engaging tour in celebration of its heritage and craftsmanship.
Known as the home of Dewar’s blended Scotch whisky, the distillery experience showcases both its Aberfeldy single malt and explores the history of the Dewar’s brand.
The investment in the visitor experience follows the introduction of the Warehouse Experience last year, which is said to emphasise further the distillery’s commitment to redefining whisky tourism.
The tour begins with an introductory film about Dewar’s legacy, followed by an exploration of the heritage museum.
Guests also enjoy a guided distillery tour, gaining behind-the-scenes access to the whisky-making process.
The experience continues with a visit to the original 1898 warehouse buildings, beginning in the Old Filling Store, where guests can learn about Aberfeldy single malt maturation.
The Blenders Bothy offers an opportunity to discover the double ageing process behind Dewar’s, featuring an avatar of master blender Stephanie Macleod.
According to the distillery, the highlight of the experience is the tutored whisky tasting, featuring five curated drams of Dewar’s and Aberfeldy whiskies, including aged expressions and limited editions.
Tickets for The Whisky Explorer Experience are now available for adults to book on the distillery’s website for £60 (US$78) per person.
Last month, Dewar’s unveiled a 21-year-old blend finished in casks that have been toasted with hot Icelandic magma stones.
