Suntory Oceania names CEO
By Lauren BowesDaisuke Minato will become CEO of Suntory Oceania in April 2025, taking over from Darren Fullerton as the new arm prepares to launch.

Suntory announced plans to create a AU$3 billion Oceania arm in 2023, with production beginning at an Australian manufacturing facility in September 2024.
Current CEO Fullerton will retire this year, following an announcement in late 2024. He will continue to support the final stages of creating Suntory Oceania as a strategic advisor.
Minato has spent 13 years with the business, most recently serving as deputy CEO. He was previously international chief strategy and finance officer, with the business stating he was “a key architect in shaping Suntory’s multinational business across the Japan, Europe, Asia-Pacific and US markets”.
Minato said: “I am honoured to join the team in Oceania as we become the region’s newest multi-beverage player. Our business is anchored in our 125-year-old history, extraordinary craftsmanship, 40 market-leading brands and, most of all, our driven and diverse team.”
He will work with managing director Mark Hill to lead the company to its official launch in mid-2025.
Suntory Beverage & Food Asia Pacific CEO Jahanzeb Khan added: “Dai’s appointment marks the next era for Suntory in Oceania as he leads the company’s bold growth plans in Oceania.
“I have every confidence he will empower the team to ignite the local market and achieve our enormous growth potential.”
