Rare Find celebrates 10th anniversary
Independent whisky bottler Rare Find, which is owned by Gleann Mór Spirits Company, has unveiled four releases to mark its decade-long journey.
Based in Leith, Edinburgh, Rare Find bottles limited edition single cask and small-batch whiskies sourced from ‘sought-after’ distilleries around Scotland.
To commemorate the brand’s 10th anniversary, it has unveiled a lineup of new single malts that feature ‘firsts’ in the brand’s portfolio.
Spirits manager Greg Urquhart said: “This latest collection is a testament to our relentless pursuit of quality and flavour. Each bottle tells a unique story, both of the liquid’s maturation and of the journey of Rare Find over the past decade. We can’t wait for whisky lovers to discover them and find new favourites.”
The youngest of the releases, a Glen Ord 10-year-old, is the first from the distillery to be bottled by Rare Find.
The Highland single malt has been finished in Châteauneuf-du-Pape wine casks, resulting in aromas of chocolate cake, cherries, and rose petals, followed by notes of cranberries, strawberry jam, and stewed rhubarb on the palate. Offered at 57.6% ABV, the Glen Ord 10-year-old is limited to 318 bottles and retails for £85 (US$110).
The second expression comes from an undisclosed distillery in the Lowlands and is limited to 317 bottles.
Matured for 11 years in a single Sherry hogshead, the whisky offers aromas of honey, caramel and dark fruits with baked apple, raisins, and cinnamon notes. The Secret Lowland 11-year-old is bottled at 65.6% ABV and retails for £85 (US$110).
Dailuaine 16-year-old was finished in a rum cask from Foursquare Distillery in Barbados and is offered at 55.9% ABV. The single malt displays aromas of vanilla, citrus, and crème fraîche, and notes of crème brûlée, orange, apple, and candied ginger. Limited to 213 bottles, the expression has a retail price of £105 (US$136).
Concluding the 2025 spring releases, Glen Garioch 16-year-old was finished in a Spanish Ribera del Duero wine cask, resulting in notes of blackcurrant jelly, vanilla fudge, strawberry laces, dark chocolate, coffee, and Chinese spices.
Retailing for £70 (US$90), the single malt is limited to 309 bottles at 55.4% ABV.
The Rare Find Spring 2025 releases will be available in select retailers from 7 April.
