Van Doorne will end his tenure as CEO on 1 October. From 1 January 2026, he will become chair of the supervisory board, replacing René Hooft Graafland.

Van Doorne said: “It has been a privilege to lead the company for the past 20 years. On this memorable 450th anniversary of The Lucas Bols Company – a milestone achieved by very few companies only – I believe the time is right for me to step down and pass the baton to the next generation.

“I am grateful to all my colleagues and business partners, both past and present, for their support and dedication throughout my years as CEO.

“Having worked closely with Frank over the last five years, I am convinced that The Lucas Bols Company will be in good hands under his leadership. I look forward to remaining involved with the company in my upcoming role on the company’s supervisory board.”

Current chief financial officer Cocx will be promoted to CEO of Lucas Bols once Van Doorne departs the post.

Cocx added: “I am truly honoured to take on the role of CEO at this unique moment in the company’s unparalleled history. Working with the supervisory board and alongside Huub has provided excellent and enjoyable learning opportunities.

“Together with our entire global team and valuable partners, I look forward to pursuing the future growth and development of the global cocktail markets and our iconic cocktail brands whilst continuing our rich tradition of innovation.

“For the past 450 years we have been creating great cocktail experiences around the globe, and I am fully committed to ensuring we continue to do so for many years to come.”

Revenue for Lucas Bols totalled €96.6 million (US$104.76m) in the year ending March 2024, marking a 4% fall compared with the previous year.
