The brand’s inaugural competition invites UK bartenders to create Hepple-based cocktails

Hepple Gin is set to challenge UK bartenders to create a spin on classic gin-based cocktails, whether that be with a unique flavour, technique or ingredient.

The competition is split into regional heats in Edinburgh, Manchester, Bristol and London, which will culminate in the final in early June at Hepple’s distillery in Northumberland.

Finallists will present their creations to a panel of judges, which will include well-known industry figures and critically acclaimed drinks writers.

After the initial presentation, competitors will move on to the final stage of the competition, where they will be required to craft a Highball using a variety of foraged botanicals from the estate.

The winner will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to Denmark, a country famous for its flavours and modern gastronomy techniques, as well as a one-night bar takeover at ‘one of Denmark’s finest’ establishments.

Entries are now open on the brand’s website, with the deadline closing at midnight on 31 March.

Last November, Hepple unveiled its new design featuring a lightweight stopper made with 52% recycled materials and a label crafted from 100% cotton.

The brand revamp earned Hepple a spot in The Spirits Business’ top 10 biggest brand glow-ups of 2024.
