BuzzBallz raises awareness of testicular cancer
By Rupert HohwielerSazerac-owned ready-to-drink (RTD) brand BuzzBallz has partnered with the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation.

Together, the pair are launching a campaign in April, titled ‘Support The Cause’, which intends to raise awareness and educate the public on the importance of checking regularly, and early, for testicular cancer.
Testicular cancer often goes unnoticed and is also often misunderstood. It is one of the most common cancers in men from ages 14-15, although it can also impact those in younger and older age brackets too.
The campaign seeks to encourage conversations around the disease, which Kim Jones, Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation founder and CEO, also hopes will reduce the stigma around it.
She urged: “By informing our neighbours about testicular cancer and encouraging open dialogue, we’re working toward a future where men feel empowered to take charge of their health without fear or embarrassment.”
The campaign will provide life-saving facts on testicular cancer, as well as essential resources to individuals impacted. The two companies will also offer co-branded exclusive t-shirts to supporters who donate US$10 to the foundation.
These can be purchased on the BuzzBallz website.
The campaign marks the second collaboration between the two after the 2023 initiative ‘Whip the Ballz’, which took a ‘cheeky and playful’ approach to social media and retail, encouraging men to prioritise regular testicular cancer screenings.
BuzzBallz director of marketing Yashika Maru added: “As a company that cares about Ballz, this partnership with the Testicular Cancer Awareness Foundation is extremely important to us.
“We’re proud to leverage our branding and reach once again to help inform people about this disease. The more we educate, the more lives we can impact.”
BuzzBallz was acquired in May last year by Sazerac for an undisclosed sum.
The brand was founded by Merrilee Kick in 2009.
