Secret Garden gets rosy for Valentine’s
By Miona MadsenEdinburgh-based Secret Garden Distillery has partnered with Scottish bars to create a series of Valentine’s Day serves using its rose-infused gin.

Described as a ‘labour of love’, the Secret Garden Rose Gin is infused with petals from Apothecary roses grown at the Edinburgh-based distillery’s botanical garden.
Each year, the Secret Garden team hand-harvests the petals during a short two-week period, picking the finest flowers to go into its gin. The resulting expression displays sweet and floral notes, reminiscent of Turkish delight.
This year, the distillery has partnered with Scottish venues to offer Valentine’s Day cocktails featuring the Rose Gin.
In Glasgow, The Finnieston bar and restaurant has created the Apple of My Eye cocktail, made with Secret Garden Rose Gin, strawberry, apple, and lemon.
Elsewhere in the city at Lebowski’s, the brand has teamed up to create a special Valentine’s cocktail, Valentini, using Rose Gin, Carpano Blanco and Kwa Fei.
In Edinburgh, Café Grande has created the Rose and Raspberry Gin Fizz, ‘designed to complement the beauty and elegance of Secret Garden’s Rose Gin’. The sparkling cocktail features Prosecco, fresh raspberries and rose syrup served with edible rose petals.
The Dome on George Street is offering three cocktails, each designed to capture different facets of love. The Self Love cocktail is a combination of Secret Garden Rose Gin, rose petal liqueur, pink grapefruit soda, and gomme syrup.
Celebrating friendships, the Platonic Love blends Rose Gin, Crème de Violette liqueur, Maraschino, lemon, and gomme. Romantic Love features Rose Gin, cranberry, lemon, grenadine, and Prosecco.
Last October, the distillery hosted an activation with three local bars during Edinburgh Cocktail Week.
