Jack Daniel’s releases its oldest whiskey in a century
By Miona MadsenBrown-Forman-owned Jack Daniel’s has unveiled its 2025 Aged Series releases, including a 14-year-old Tennessee whiskey.

This year’s releases under the brand’s Aged Series include three expressions: 10-year-old Batch 4, 12-year-old Batch 3 and the first modern release of 14-year-old Tennessee whiskey.
The launch of the 14-year-old marks the first time since the early- to mid-1900s that the brand has offered an expression at this age.
Chris Fletcher, master distiller at Jack Daniel Distillery, said: “When we released our first Jack Daniel’s 10-year-old Tennessee Whiskey a few years ago, we set out to honour the legacy of Jack Daniel himself and replicate the line-up of age-stated whiskeys available during his time.
“This year’s releases build upon that as we re-introduce our new 14-year-old Tennessee Whiskey, the oldest age-statement for Jack Daniel’s in the last 100 years or more.
“These whiskeys really showcase how a little extra time in our barrels is capable of producing something so special.”
The new 14-year-old has a mash bill of 80% corn, 12% malted barley, and 8% rye.
After distillation, the new make is filtered through 10 feet of sugar maple charcoal like the flagship Jack Daniel’s Old No.7 Tennessee Whiskey.
Offered at 126.3 proof (63.15% ABV), Jack Daniel’s 14-year-old displays notes of sweet bakery spices, oak, cinnamon, butterscotch, leather and pipe tobacco.
The new expression retails for US$149.99.

Continued expressions
Returning for the fourth time, Jack Daniel’s 10-year-old is bottled at 97 proof (48.5% ABV) and offers ‘sweet and creamy notes of pipe tobacco, seasoned oak, and butterscotch.’
The 10-year-old has a suggested retail price of US$84.99.
Jack Daniel’s 12-year-old Batch 3 displays layers of dark fruits and bittersweet cocoa.
Bottled at 107 proof (53.5% ABV), the expression retails for US$94.99.
All three 2025 releases are available in limited quantities in 700ml bottles across the US starting this month (February).
Jack Daniel’s 10-year-old will also be available in select countries internationally beginning this summer.
Last year, the distillery released a single barrel high proof release aged in Coy Hill Warehouse 8.
In August, the distillery’s owner Brown-Forman reportedly abandoned its corporate diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) programmes.
The company also announced a plan to reduce its 5,400-strong global workforce by approximately 12% and the closure of its Louisville-based barrel-making operation by April 2025.
