Ferrand Cognac unveils new look
By Miona MadsenMaison Ferrand has revealed new packaging for its flagship Cognacs to highlight the brand’s ‘grapes to glass’ ethos.

Ferrand Cognac’s new packaging for its core expressions — 1840 Original Formula, Ambre, and Double Cask Réserve — celebrates the brand’s heritage and craftsmanship.
The Cognac house was founded in 1989 by master blender Alexandre Gabriel, drawing on the legacy of the Ferrand family, who cultivated grapes and distilled Cognac in Grande Champagne.
Gabriel has devoted more than 30 years to preserving the craft and ‘savoir-faire’ of Cognac-making, focusing on reviving forgotten techniques and embracing modern experimentation.
The new packaging features a wooden stopper, which is said to symbolise the ageing process, a hammered glass bottle inspired by 19th-century copper pot stills, and labels ‘reflecting Ferrand’s commitment to blending tradition and innovation’.
Ferrand highlighted that the brand update only involves the packaging, while the liquid inside remains the same.
The updated design will be available globally starting in March 2025.
Last year, the brand released the fourth edition of its Renegade series, which was aged on the tropical island of Barbados.
In January 2024, Maison Ferrand rebranded its Plantation rum brand, changing its name to Planteray Rum.
