The move follows the distillery’s first full year of trading, having launched in 2023.

Lewis Hayes, founder of DropWorks, said: “We had always had an eye on GHF as our dream partner. After working tirelessly since launching in May 2023, this felt like a just reward for the rapid growth and brand building we have been pushing from day one.

“Building and running the largest craft rum distillery in Britain is a monumental task, so knowing that sales are in the safest of hands helps me sleep soundly.”

Other brands in GHF’s portfolio include Sapling, Nc’nean and Everleaf.

DropWorks sales director Chris Bryant-Mansell added: “Rum is such a diverse category, and to sit alongside other premium, British, sustainably led brands will no doubt help to further the unique position of DropWorks as we strive to make quality rum, accessible and enjoyable for all.”

GHF will represent DropWorks in both the UK on- and off-trade.

The brand recently released its first barrel-aged rum, which was matured for 10 to 12 months in a variety of casks.

Tristam Coates, founder and CEO of GHF, said: “DropWorks espouses all the values that we look for in a drinks brand: integrity, authenticity, innovation and forward-thinking.

“We will continue to seed the brand into influential areas of the UK market before embarking on a rapid scaling of the brand once ready.

“We have high hopes for what we can achieve with them and look forward to sharing these incredible rums with all our partners.”
