Aviation Gin to host $214 Valentine’s Day weddings
By Rupert HohwielerDreaming of a distillery wedding? Gin lovers looking to tie the knot in such a setting will have the opportunity this Valentine’s Day, thanks to Aviation Gin.

For the price of US$214, American Aviation Gin is offering to marry couples at its distillery in Portland, Oregon, all day long on Valentine’s Day (14 February), where it promises: ‘lovebirds and gin aficionados can tie the knot in a most memorable way’.
Regarding what the deal entails, the wedding ceremony will take place at the distillery bar and the package comes with a photographer and videographer, a sheet cake, a post-vow cocktail flight of five mini cocktails, and as you’d imagine, ever-lasting memories.
And as for how a wedding at a distillery might look, the brand has painted a picture: “You’re tying the knot with your s/o, surrounded by the intoxicating aroma of botanicals and… complete strangers. Yes, you’ll be taking a public tour, making friends out of fellow tour-goers as they witness your nuptials. Sounds weird? Absolutely. But why not! What better way to celebrate your valentine?
“These strangers are about to become the unofficial extended family you never knew you needed. Post-vows, enjoy a smorgasbord of up to five mini cocktails because nothing says ‘celebration’ like sampling gin with your newly minted in-laws and a bunch of new pals.”
While this may all sound lovely, there are rules that need to be followed. Aviation Gin stated the bride and groom must be over the age of 21, hold a marriage licence and ‘agree to the madness’ by saying ‘I do’.
Aviation added that “sobriety is key for saying ‘I do’ (the party starts after)”.
If a wedding at Aviation’s distillery is of interest, couples can reserve a spot on the brand’s website. The ceremony lasts for one hour.
Aviation Gin is backed by Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds and was acquired by Diageo in 2020 in a deal worth up to US$610 million.
Last year, the brand released limited edition bottles to celebrate the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, which Reynolds starred in.
In another of its marketing moves, the brand created an advert for Negroni Week last September.
