Ryan Reynolds drops Deadpool & Wolverine Aviation bottles

Aviation American Gin, backed by Ryan Reynolds, has designed six limited edition bottles to commemorate the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, which opens in theatres on 26 July.

The limited edition bottles are adorned with Deadpool’s six icons

Designed by Maximum Effort and Sandstrom Partners, the bottles are made with black glass and are accented with red custom strip stamps and metallic details.

Each bottle showcases one of the six Deadpool icons, and the exterior for each case has been designed to resemble Deadpool‘s signature suit fabric.

Actor Reynolds, who plays Deadpool in the Marvel Studios franchise, said: “I discovered Aviation American Gin while shooting the first Deadpool movie. Back then Aviation wasn’t big enough to tie-in to a big summer movie and Deadpool was lucky to get any sponsors at all. A few hundred weeks and drinks later, here we are. They grow up so quickly, don’t they?”

Reynolds invested in Aviation in February 2018, overseeing its creative direction. The brand was then acquired by drinks giant Diageo two years later, when the company purchased Aviation owner Davos Brands in a deal worth up to US$610 million.

The Deadpool & Wolverine bottles will be available early this summer nationwide in the US for the same price as the regular Aviation bottles (US$25) and while supplies last.

“The Deadpool film franchise has been a cultural phenomenon since its inception,” said Holly Frank, Walt Disney Studios’ vice-president, partnership management and operations, Marvel.

“We’re so excited to be collaborating with Aviation American Gin to give fans a chance to engage with the world of Deadpool in a whole new way leading up to the eagerly anticipated theatrical release of Deadpool & Wolverine.

In September 2022, Aviation opened its distillery and visitor centre in Portland, Oregon, which features a tasting room, draft cocktail bar and gift shop.
