Wine Paris reveals academy schedule

The sixth annual Wine Paris event will return to the French capital from 10-12 February, with more than 130 events organised under its academy umbrella.

Run by Vinexposium, Wine Paris is a unique global business hub for stakeholders across the wine and spirits industry.

This year it expects to host more than 5,300 exhibitors from more than 50 countries at the Paris expo Porte de Versailles, with 50,000 visitors anticipated to arrive from 140 countries.

For 2025, the academy has curated an ‘ambitious’ programme that ‘focuses on the topics that matter’, with 130 sessions involving 250 renowned international experts.

Highlights on 10 February include the Time Out Conference with Benoit d’Onofrio and Antoine Besse, who will host the talk ‘Is Alcohol-Free the Future for Restaurants?’, while also on 10 February, Patrick Schmitt MW, editor-in-chief of the drinks business, will host a masterclass called ‘Why Napa Valley? Global Interest in America’s Premier Wine Region’ with Florence Cathiard, owner of Cathiard Vineyard, Jean-Charles Boisset, owner of Boisset, and Carlton McCoy MS, chief executive of Heitz Cellar and Demeine Estates in the Napa Valley, and of Château Lascombes (Margaux) from midday until 1pm.

Highlights on the 11 February include a masterclass titled ‘A Journey Through South Korea’s Traditional Spirits, introducing K-Spirits!’, hosted by Heon Bae Jeong, founder of HB Jeong Liquor and lecturer at Chung-Ang University, from 12-1pm, and a press conference hosted by the Federation of French Wine & Spirits Exporters (FEVS) from 9:30-10:30am.

Also on 11 February, Mark Barden, global brand strategist and co-founder of EatBigFish consultancy, and Honore Comfort, vice-president of international marketing for California Wines, will host the talk ‘Reaching Zillennial Consumers: New Rules of Engagement’ from 5:30-6:30pm.
