Voisey brings two decades worth of experience to the role, including various positions for the foundation as a sponsor, seminar moderator and overall chair at the annual Spirited Awards.

Voisey also spent many years at William Grant & Sons, where she led the brand ambassador programme from 2006 to 2024, managing a team of 100 professionals across 40 countries.

Additionally, as a mixologist, she has designed drinks for the likes of New York’s PDT and London’s Dorchester Hotel, and has been recognised with numerous industry accolades for her cocktails.

In her new role, Voisey will report to CEO Eileen Wayner and will guide TOTCF in its mission to educate, advance and support the global drinks community.

“I am excited to welcome Charlotte to the foundation’s leadership team. Her unique career in this industry ensures that the work we do will drive thought leadership and anticipate and respond to the needs of our colleagues across the industry,” Wayner said.

“With the additional support of Charlotte, I look forward to expanding the reach of the Foundation to consumers and creating new business development initiatives that continue to celebrate and support the drinks industry.”

Now in its 23rd edition, the 2025 TOTCF festival will take place between 20-25 July at The Ritz‐Carlton hotel in New Orleans.

The festival will be held under the theme ‘evolve’.

Last year’s Tales of the Cocktail involved 400 events and generated US$24.8 million for the New Orleans economy. It is viewed as the year’s ‘cornerstone event’ for the spirits and hospitality industry.

On what Voisey can bring to the position, the co-chair of the foundation’s board of directors, Gary Solomon Jr, said: “The board has absolute confidence that Charlotte will continue building on the foundation’s important work to date, showcasing the depth and breadth of talent across the drinks industry in new ways and exploring opportunities to establish partnerships within and adjacent to the drinks industry.

“We believe that she will expand the year-round reach and impact of the Foundation.”

Lastly, on entering the new chapter, Voisey herself commented: “I greatly admire the incredible work Eileen, the board of directors, the foundation team, and global committees have done over the last seven years and don’t take lightly the responsibility to represent the needs of the industry at large in this position.

“Tales has been close to my heart since I first attended in 2006. I have witnessed firsthand the incredible catalyst Tales has been for the industry during two decades of seismic evolution in the cocktail and spirits world.

“With the support of our tremendous global committees, I look forward to taking the foundation through the next chapter of educating, advancing, and supporting bartenders and our broader community.”
