IAADFS confirms two sessions for 2025 Summit
By Melita KielyTwo new sessions have been announced for the International Association of Airport and Duty Free Stores (IADDFS) Summit of the Americas trade show.

The IAADFS Summit of the Americas will take place at the InterContinental Miami, Florida, in the US from 8-11 March.
In the latest schedule announcements, two new sessions will offer industry professionals insights into the duty free and travel retail space.
First, Airports: Major Challenges and Unlimited Opportunities, will take place on 9 March from 3pm-4pm.
The speakers will be Rafael Echevarne, director general, Airports Council International, Latin America and the Caribbean, and Matt Cornelius, executive vice-president, Airports Council International North America.
The seminar will explore the challenges and growth demands that must be met in airports, which remain the biggest revenue source for travel retail and associated duty free sales overall. However, is that growth likely to continue past trends?
The second session is titled Unlocking Footfall and Conversion: The Power of Experiential Retail in Duty Free and Travel Retail. Organised by TRBusiness and data partner M1nd-Set, the session will delve into how experiential retail can be leveraged effectively to help drive footfall and conversion in the channel.
The discussion will take place on 10 March from 9.30am-10.30am.
The speakers will be: Dr Peter Mohn, founder and CEO of M1nd-Set; Sammy Patel, vice-president, commercial – Vantage Group, and chief executive officer – Midway Partnership; and Andy Machin, managing director, Kounter Retail. Faye Bartle, managing editor of TRBusiness, will moderate the discussion.
The keynote speaker for this year’s event will be John Price, managing director of Americas Market Intelligence.
