Glenmorangie hosts Signet weekend for Valentine’s

Moët Hennessy-owned Glenmorangie House in Scotland is hosting a Valentine’s Day weekend, offering guests an opportunity to experience Signet single malt’s production first-hand.

The exclusive weekend at Glenmorangie House honours the Highland distillery’s high-roasted chocolate malt whiskies, Signet and Signet Reserve.

From Friday 14 February to Sunday 16 February 2025, the hotel will host a celebratory weekend curated in collaboration with drinks writers Joel Harrison and Neil Ridley.

The freshly brewed coffee-inspired Signet was created by Glenmorangie’s director of whisky creation, Dr Bill Lumsden, in 2008.

Signet is aged in a combination of Bourbon, Sherry, and new oak casks, balanced by some of the distillery’s oldest stocks.

Launched in the summer of 2024, the limited edition Signet Reserve has spent an additional 12 months in Pedro Ximénez Sherry casks.

The whiskies derive their distinct character from the distillery’s exclusive chocolate malt spirit – said to be a first in the whisky world.

Each year, Glenmorangie Distillery pauses all production for one week to create Signet single malt.

The distillery is inviting whisky enthusiasts to experience the process for the first time this Valentine’s Day.

Hosted by Harrison and Ridley, the two-day experience includes multiple activities, including a private tour and tasting at Glenmorangie Distillery during the chocolate-malt production week, dinner inspired by the Scottish Highlands and Signet, a mixology masterclass and a fireside Signet Reserve tasting.

The Signet Weekend experience is open to bookings for a two-night stay from 14-16 February 2025, priced at £1,000 (US$1,233) per room for two people in a standard room or cottage.

Earlier this month, The Glenmorangie Company opened bookings for its new Ardbeg House hotel, which is set to open on Islay in autumn 2025.
