Served unveils ‘world’s biggest canned Margarita’

Ready-to-drink (RTD) brand Served, co-owned by singer Ellie Goulding, has unveiled ‘the world’s biggest canned Margarita’ to mark its Tesco Express launch – and it could be yours.

The giant six-feet tall can contain 200 litres of Served Margarita

The giant can of Served Margarita was created to celebrate the brand’s launch into 1,600 Tesco Express stores in the UK, the latest expansion from the RTD brand.

Unveiled by Goulding, the world’s biggest canned Margarita stands over six-feet tall and holds 200 litres, enough to serve 1,600 cocktails. The can is complete with a convenient tap for serving.

The can can be won through a competition running across Tesco Express and Tesco Superstores from December to 31 January.

Shoppers who purchase Served Cocktails at either store can enter to win the massive prize by uploading their receipt to the brand’s website.

Goulding commented: “This is a huge moment for us, and we wanted to go big. Offering the chance to win the world’s largest canned Margarita is the perfect way to mark the launch of Served in Tesco Express stores nationwide.

“It’s all about creating fun, memorable experiences for our customers to share with their friends and family, and this competition is set to do just that.”

The brand’s range includes four of the ‘most popular cocktails’ in the UK: Mojito, Passion Fruit Martini, Piña Colada, and Margarita.

The vegan and gluten-free cocktails are crafted in Herefordshire, where Goulding grew up, with natural and sustainably sourced ingredients. Each canned cocktail has a double measure of Served Founders Reserve Vodka, white tum, or Tequila.

Now available in Tesco Superstores and Tesco Express outlets nationwide, Served cocktails are offered at 8%-12.5% ABV and retail for £2.75 (US$3.50) per 250ml can or three for £6 (US$7.60) at Tesco Express.

In June this year, the brand made its debut in the UK on-trade with three cocktails.

In September 2023, the UK arm of Heineken acquired a ‘significant’ minority stake in Served to support the brand in its next stage of development.
