Cazcabel creates eco-friendly glass pack
Independent Tequila brand Cazcabel has partnered with Mexican artisan collective Someone Somewhere to create eco-friendly, hand-blown glassware.
The partnership is said to honour Mexican craftsmanship, showcase the work of skilled artisans, and conserve sustainable practices.
The first product in the partnership is a set of recycled, hand-blown rocks glasses, which will be sold alongside the brand’s blanco Tequila.
Chris Richards, global marketing director at Cazcabel Tequila, commented: “We’re delighted to partner with Someone Somewhere, which highlights our shared values of creating products that are better for the environment and showcasing independent Mexican craftsmanship.
“We’re excited for consumers to enjoy a Cazcabel Margarita from these traditional hand-blown rocks glasses. We hope we can help shine a light on the great work of Someone Somewhere and look forward to continuing to work with them.”
The glasses, which feature a blue rim and are suitable for Margaritas or for sipping Tequila, have been crafted using recycled glass by Tekiti from Guadalajara, Jalisco.
Family-owned in its third generation, Tekiti uses traditional hand-blown techniques to produce durable glassware.
Future products as part of the partnership between Cazcabel Tequila and Someone Somewhere will include T-shirts, baseball caps and hoodies, all crafted by artisanal creators who are committed to reducing environmental impact.
Eduardo Molina, head of partnerships for sustainable procurement at Someone Somewhere, said: “At Someone Somewhere, we’re thrilled to join forces with Cazcabel Tequila to bring this unique collaboration to life. By launching a line of artisan-made Tequila glasses, we’re not only celebrating Mexican craftsmanship but also creating real opportunities for artisans to share their skills and stories with the world.
“This partnership embodies our shared commitment to honouring tradition, sustainability, and the artistry that makes each piece truly special. Together, we’re raising a glass to community, culture, and a more conscious way of doing business.”
The gift packs, featuring two tumblers and a bottle of Cazcabel Blanco Tequila, are available now from Amazon UK for £49.99 (US$63).
Last month, the Tequila brand made its US travel retail debut in partnership with Duty Free Global.
Cazcabel Tequila is available in more than 40 markets worldwide and was named the leading independent Tequila outside the US.
