Guatemalan Spirits shares details about its “epic” new blend

Rum is in high spirits at the moment, as Rodrigo Fonseca, commercial director for international markets, Guatemalan Spirits, told us at Bar Convent Berlin (BCB) 2024.

“Overall, rum is growing; premium rum is growing all across the world,” Foseca enthused. “We at Guatemalan Spirits and Bótran certainly think that this growth amongst the preference of the consumer for high-quality rums is helping us to also grow.”

Guatemalan Spirits is a regular exhibitor at BCB, utilising the trade show to connect with its existing customers and to engage in new partnerships.

At this year’s event, the company celebrated its first global campaign, which launched this year, as Maria Ines de Leon, senior brand manager at Guatemalan Spirits, explained.

“This year we launched our first global campaign, which is ‘Capture the colours of life’,” Ines de Leon explained. “And what that means is to be able to look at life with a certain colour, and that’s why you see our stand is very colourful, our brand is inspired by the colours of Guatemala.”

But its latest offering, which was revealed during the show in October, was the launch of a new blend.

Ines de Leon said: “This year at BCB we are launching our first ever edition of a blend that is so epic, no other rum has attempted to blend eight casks in the same epic blend, and so we are very convinced it is going to bring ultra-good news to the brand, lots of interest to it, and our very own space in the collector items.”
