Milroy’s of Soho reopens as 3 Greek Street

Following a refurbishment that began in May, independent whisky specialist Milroy’s has given its Soho shop and bar a new look and name.

The investment coincides with the brand’s 60th anniversary.

The ground floor remains home to a whisky bar and retail space. A newly designed tasting room, which can be used for both product launches and private and corporate events, can be found on the first floor.

The basement cocktail bar has also been refurbished

The Vault, the site’s speakeasy-style cocktail bar on the lower-ground floor, has been fully renovated, with the design intended to ‘subtly tell the story of whisky from raw materials and production through to maturation’. The bar will offer a winter menu on opening, with Monday Jazz Nights set to make a return.

The site has been designed with ‘a commitment to provide an accessible, welcoming space for all palates, tastes and budgets’.

The new ground-floor bar will offer more than 200 whiskies to taste by the glass, with Highballs on tap. Other spirits and non-alcohol options are also available.

The site is a Mac-Talla Lighthouse Bar for the Islay-based bottler and an affiliate bar for Milroy’s of Soho, providing access to exclusive bottlings.

“The new 3 Greek Street site, comprising The Vault and our tasting room as well as the bar and shop, is all about releasing whisky from long-held mindsets,” said Stephen Worral, managing director of 3 Greek Street.

“Our team is dedicated to making sure whisky is about enjoyment and celebration, whoever you are. We’re about recognising the craft of distilling and production. And, most importantly, we offer an incredible service to everyone who walks through the door.

“Our approachability is reflected in everything we do, from our pricing structure to the welcome you’ll get from our team. Whisky is for everyone, and we can’t wait to welcome you all to our new space.”
