Batavia Highball: Taste of Indonesia

Established in 1948 on the Indonesian Island of Java, Orang Tua Group is known for producing high-quality Indonesian products. As a nod to the popular Highball cocktail, the company has launched an innovative single-serve 180ml bottle of pre-mixed Batavia Highball using a local whisky blend.

Batavia Highball is made with Indonesian blended whisky and fizzy soda water

Batavia Highball combines Batavia blended whisky and soda in one ready-to-drink bottle as an alternative to canned cocktails. Delivering a bar-style cocktail in every sip, the 180ml single serve has a light whisky flavour and crisp soda fizz. The cocktail is made with a half shot of Batavia Whisky and has a low alcohol, low calorie and low sugar level.

Batavia Whisky is a blend of malted barley and high-quality grain spirits from the distillery in Tabanan, Bali, aged in American and French oak casks. The whisky is offered at 43% ABV and displays vibrant green apples with fresh grassy aromas that develop into notes of sweet pears, butterscotch, and subtle peat with lingering tannins on the palate.

Batavia Highball is best served cold, straight from the bottle or poured into a glass with ice. For a more vibrant whisky flavour, you can mix the highball with a half – double shot of Batavia Whisky

The distillery’s recent venture into whisky and pre-mixed cocktails caters to the consumer interest in world whiskies and is part of Orang Tua’s expansion plan worldwide. Future distribution is expected to reach 39 countries.
