UK-based ready-to-drink (RTD) cocktail brand All Shook Up has created a classic Mojito flavour, which is available exclusively at Tesco.

Launched at Tesco stores nationwide on 25 October, the Mojito is available in a 250ml can format.

The light sparkling cocktail combines lime juice, mint flavour, and white rum and delivers a zesty taste profile ‘suited for consumers on the go’.

The launch reflects the Mojito’s rise in popularity within the RTD category. The flavour has become a key growth driver in the market, increasing by £2.8 million (US$3.63m – up by 24%) in value and more than 81,000 litres (up 48%) in volume, according to NielsenIQ RMS data for the RTD UK retail market for the 12 months ending 24 February 2024.

Emily Seddon, brand manager at All Shook Up, said: “We’re thrilled to introduce a new SKU to our range at a time when accessibility and flavour variety are driving the RTD cocktail category.

“Consumers are looking for their favourite classic cocktails in a convenient, affordable format, and our Mojito delivers just that: a versatile flavour profile, perfect for cosy nights in and festive gatherings.”

The wider RTD cocktail market has seen significant growth in recent years, with the category now worth £543m (US$704.6m) – a rise from £228m (US$295.9m) in 2014, according to NIQ.

The canned cocktail segment alone has grown by £44m (US$57m) in the past year.

All Shook Up’s classic Mojito, canned at 3.4% ABV, will be available in a single can and as part of the mixed pack. A single can has an RRP of £1.60 (US$2).

The All Shook Up range includes Passion Fruit Martini, Piña Colada, Strawberry Daiquiri, Mango Margarita, Peach & Lychee Spritz, and Elderflower, Mint and Lime Spritz.

At the beginning of 2024, Global Brands, the owner of All Shook Up, introduced a new range of RTD canned cocktails under the name Be.

Earlier this month, Global Brands partnered with American Beverage Marketers to represent its cocktail mixers portfolio on the UK market.
