Havana Club Mango Lime lands in Germany
By Miona MadsenPernod Ricard-owned Havana Club is bringing its mango and lime-flavoured rum-based spirit to Germany following the expression’s debut in late May this year.
The new ‘refreshing’ addition to the brand’s portfolio is set to ‘shake up the rum segment’, combining Havana Club’s light Cuban rum with the flavours of sun-ripened mango and the refreshing zest of lime.
Inspired by Cuba’s inherently tropical nature, Havana Club’s light rum combines two flavours that rank first in European taste preferences: tropical mango and lime citrus. The result is a ‘balanced interplay between natural sweetness and fresh notes with a velvety mouthfeel’.
“Flavoured rum is currently driving significant growth in the rum segment, showcasing how consumers are increasingly gravitating towards more adventurous and diverse flavour profiles,” said Jessica Templeton, head of innovation at Pernod Ricard.
“We’ve listened to these evolving consumer preferences, and we’re excited to introduce this new product to our German portfolio. It perfectly balances fruity and decadent notes, making it an ideal addition to the Havana Club range.”
As Havana Club continues to innovate and broaden its product range, it affirms its dedication to meeting the evolving preferences of today’s consumers.
Havana Club Mango Lime retails for €14.99 (US$17) and is available now in 750ml bottles at 30% ABV and in a one-litre format at bars and retailers across Germany.
Earlier this year, Havana Club launched a colourful, limited edition summer label and introduced a closed-loop distribution system with EcoSpirits.
In December 2023, the brand received an image boost with a new design to modernise its portfolio.
