The Drinks Bureau resurrects 90s classic

Ready-to-serve (RTS) brand The Drinks Bureau has expanded its cocktail range with a Lychee Martini.

The RTD Lychee Martini is offered at 10% ABV in 150ml cans and 1.5-litre boxes

The introduction of the Lychee Martini follows the brand’s entrance into the UK on-trade earlier this month.

The ‘fresh and fragrant’ cocktail, offered at 10% ABV, is available in 150ml cans and on tap in a 1.5-litre 10-serving bag-in-box.

The Lychee Martini, which originated in New York during the 1990s, joins the company’s range of RTDs: Spicy Margarita, Espresso Martini, Passion Fruit Martini and Strawberry Daiquiri.

Made with lychee fruit juice, prickly pear and vodka, the cocktail is vegan and allergen-free and is said to pair well with Asian cuisine.

According to Technavio, the global lychee flavour market has experienced significant growth in the past couple of years and is set to grow by CAGR 3.27%, or US$1.22 billion, between 2023 and 2028.

Frankie Snobel, mixologist and founder of The Drinks Bureau, said: “Our new Lychee Martini in a can or on tap is luscious and looks so pretty in its pastel-hued packs. We’ve captured a really fresh and juicy lychee profile that is deliciously moreish.

“Whether it be cans for on-the-go or our 10-serve ‘Cocktails in a Box’ for sharing occasions, we’re not just launching a drink; we’re offering a complete (and cute) cocktail solution. I am officially a proud Lychee Lover.”

Lychee Martini is available in select Greene King and Belhaven pubs nationwide and directly from selected online retailers. The RRP for the 1.5-litre box is £30 (US$40), and the 6-pack of cans is £19.99 (US$26).

Snobel is known for her previous venture, Tipplesworth, which was acquired by Diageo in 2019.
