Highclere Castle Gin has entered the travel retail market in partnership with boutique agency and travel retail experts 2.0 & Partners.

“Having demonstrated that our gin is well-poised to be a category leader, it is a natural next step to expand in global travel retail and bring our brand to consumers worldwide,” said Adam von Gootkin, co-founder and CEO of Highclere Castle Gin.

The gin is made from 10 botanicals and named after Highclere Castle in Hampshire, England.

The brand was founded in 2019 by von Gootkin and the eighth Earl and Countess of Carnarvon, who also own the namesake castle.

Highclere Castle is known as the filming location for popular TV series Downton Abbey.

Sergei Bozhok, senior partner at 2.0 & Partners, added: “Highclere Castle Gin is an incredible product with an unmatched heritage and story which will inspire and enchant shoppers in the travel retail sector. We are delighted to be working with such an exciting and established brand which will bring a true flavour of British excellence and heritage for travelling shoppers.”

Since its launch, Highclere Castle Gin has continued to expand globally. It is currently featured in more than 5,000 restaurants, hotels, and retail accounts worldwide, with distribution in nine countries and 28 US states.

The brand is planning to launch in Latin America in late 2024.

In June this year, the gin producer offered US residents an opportunity to win a three-day trip for two to Highclere Castle in September.

Earlier this month, the brand reported a 29% increase in global sales during the first half of 2024.
