Gaucho and Cygnet Gin pair to support veterans
By Miona MadsenArgentinian restaurant group Gaucho has partnered with Welsh Cygnet Gin to create a cocktail, with proceeds supporting Woody’s Lodge.

Cygnet Gin was launched in 2023 by classical singer Katherine Jenkins OBE and artist and filmmaker Andrew Levitas.
The brand has teamed up with Argentinian restaurant group Gaucho to create the Yerba Maté Jasmine Fizz cocktail.
For each cocktail sold, £10 (US$13) will be donated to Woody’s Lodge, a Welsh charity dedicated to supporting veterans, emergency services personnel and their families.
“It’s always been the greatest honour to support the men, women and families who serve our country – this will always be such an important part of my life,” said Jenkins. “As founder of Cygnet Gin, I take great pride in the knowledge that, together with Gaucho, we are able to support Woody’s Lodge, a local Welsh charity that supports veterans and their families, in providing a safe and social environment.”
The Yerba Maté Jasmine Fizz is a botanical and light cocktail that combines Cygnet 22 Gin with Muyu Jasmine and Yerba Maté – a traditional Argentine herb-based drink – topped with Chandon sparkling wine.
The ‘harmonious blend of flavours’ pays homage to the Welsh expat community in Patagonia, resulting in a ‘truly unique and refreshing cocktail’.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with Katherine Jenkins and Cygnet Gin to create the Yerba Maté Jasmine Fizz. Gaucho has recently unveiled its all-new cocktail list, The Spirit of Argentina, where we’ve invested heavily to create 20 ground-breaking drinks that are up there with the best in the world, and this cocktail is no exception,” said Martin Williams, CEO of Gaucho.
“Moreover, we are proud to support Woody’s Lodge, a charity that does invaluable work by supporting, mentoring and signposting veterans, emergency services, reservists, and their families.”
The Yerba Maté Jasmine Fizz is now available at all Gaucho locations. Guests are invited to enjoy the cocktail while contributing to the vital work of Woody’s Lodge.
Sian Woodland, co-founder and deputy CEO of Woody’s Lodge, said: “I am honoured by Gaucho and Cygnet Gin’s creation of the Yerba Maté Jasmine Fizz, benefiting our veterans and their families. This partnership exemplifies community spirit and supports our mission to provide vital support to veterans and their families across Wales.”
Last month, Cygnet Welsh Dry Gin reached the shelves of more than 200 Marks & Spencer stores in the UK.
