Five Farms secures Sainsbury’s listing

Irish cream liqueur brand Five Farms will be stocked in UK supermarket chain Sainsbury’s from the end of September.

Five Farms takes its name from the five businesses from which it collects milk

The liqueur claims to be the ‘world’s first’ true farm-to-table Irish cream liqueur and is made in County Cork, Ireland. It first landed in the UK in 2022, following launches in the US and its native Ireland.

The milk used in production is collected from five local family-owned farms and blended with premium Irish whiskey, with the brand claiming it contains ‘10 times the amount of Irish whiskey than any other mainstream branded alternative or supermarket copycat’.

The production process, from milk collection to product bottling, is completed in 48 hours.

Five Farms will be stocked in 200 Sainsbury’s stores and will retail for £26 (US$34) for a 700ml bottle.

As well as using local milk, the brand’s sustainability efforts extend to its packaging, all of which is recyclable, from the bottle closure to the cardboard it’s shipped in.

Co-founder Johnny Harte said: “Five Farms celebrates Ireland’s farming culture and the dedication of our farmers. Our commitment to sustainability is at the heart of everything we do and is ingrained into every part of the business, from the farms, right down to the packaging.”
