Hennessy reveals XO Harrods Edition

Cognac producer Hennessy has expanded its Spirit of Travel XO collection with a Harrods-exclusive product to celebrate the London store’s 175th anniversary.

Hennessy XO Harrods
Hennessy XO Harrods Edition retails for £250 (US$323)

The limited edition bottling features ‘instantly recognisable Harrods green Edwardian grandeur and ornate detailing.’

Presented in a fully recyclable case made from 100% paper pulp, the special edition is accompanied by a detachable luggage tag, which can be personalised with an engraving as a keepsake. The tag imitates the classical 1920s coffered ceiling above Door No. 7, which leads into the Egyptian Hall.

The Hennessy XO Harrods blend offers ‘bold and complex flavours with candied fruits, spices, and dark chocolate’. The Cognac can be enjoyed neat or chilled, with one large ice block, ‘unlocking delicate flavours while maintaining XO’s complexity’.

Hennessy XO Harrods Edition is offered in a one-litre bottle with a suggested retail price of £250 (US$323).

The limited edition is one of nine in the brand’s Spirit of Travel collection, celebrating iconic destinations worldwide that have long provided cultural inspiration for Hennessy.

Each decanter ‘brings to life the vibrancy and essence of these destinations’, including Paris, London, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hainan, Macau, Singapore, Taipei and Hong Kong.

Each edition is available in limited quantities only at its specific location, as well as at the brand’s Cognac boutiques in Paris, Shanghai, Hong Kong and Singapore.

The collection is a tribute to the legacy of Hennessy XO, created more than 150 years ago, in 1870, by Maurice Hennessy.

Harrods London opened on Brompton Road in Knightsbridge, London, in 1849.

Earlier this year, Courvoisier Cognac collaborated with artist Clym Evernden for a limited edition release commemorating Harrods’ 175th anniversary.
