Connie Glaze creates lemon sherbet-flavoured vodka liqueur

Cornwall-based Southwestern Distillery has launched a new liqueur flavour for summer, Connie Glaze Lemon Sherbet Vodka.

Connie Glaze Lemon Sherbet Vodka is said by the brand to ‘offer a Cornish twist on the Italian limoncello’.

Produced in small batches, the liqueur is slowly filtered through Cornish golden sand at founder and master distiller, Tarquin Leadbetter’s Southwestern Distillery in Cornwall.

It is infused with lemons and handpicked lemon verbena grown on a ‘subtropical kitchen garden’ overlooking the camel estuary at Padstow Kitchen Garden.

“I love working with local produce and unusual botanicals to create unique spirits. Ross and the team at Padstow Kitchen Garden love to experiment with flavour just as much as I do”, said Leadbetter.

“Their Cornish lemon verbena provides a refreshing citrus zing, which keeps our take on an Italian Limoncello much smoother and easier to drink.”

Connie Glaze Lemon Sherbet Vodka is now available on the company’s website, in pubs and bars, and at retailers across the UK and the South West, starting from £25 (US$32) per 700ml bottle.

The distillery will donate 1% of all sales of the liqueur to Beach Guardian CIC to support their work cleaning nearby Constantine Bay and the Cornish coast.

Connie Glaze launched in November 2023 and released its first flavoured vodka liqueur, toffee, in March this year.
