ProWein reverts to pre-pandemic structure for 2025
The 2025 iteration of ProWein will be structurally closer to the pre-pandemic format, spanning 11 halls to create a more ‘compact’ feel.
ProWein 2025 will take place from 16 to 18 March next year.
Exhibitors are now able to register for the 2025 ProWein wine and spirits trade show in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The deadline for registration is 30 June 2024, and hall space will be allocated until late September this year.
Peter Schmitz, director of ProWein, said: “Under the motto ‘discover the taste of tomorrow’, we will head off into the future with a new look and feel, plus tailor-made concepts.
“The linchpin here will be the condensed space allocation inside the 11 ProWein exhibition halls.
“Entirely in the interest of our exhibitors and visitors from throughout the world, we will arrange ProWein in a markedly more compact structure like prior to the pandemic.”
ProSpirits, which made its debut at the 2024 event, will return to Hall 5. At the 2024 show, ProSpirits hosted around 300 exhibitors from more than 40 countries.
The ‘same but different’ hall, dedicated to craft producers of beers and spirits, will also be back in Hall 7.0.
Individual wine-growing nations will be relocated.
“Clear segmentation of ranges in halls is as important to us as developing tailor-made concepts for our trade visitors and picking up and driving relevant industry trends,” said Schmitz. “At the end of the day, this benefits both exhibitors and visitors alike. Accordingly, we constantly develop this concept further.”
ProWein appoints new MD for wine and spirits portfolio
On 1 August, ProWein will welcome Marius Berlemann to the role of managing director operative trade fair business at Messe Düsseldorf.
He will succeed Erhard Wienkamp, who will retire at the end of July 2024.
Berlemann will also take over the wine and spirits portfolio for ProWein, and form a new management team with Schmitz, and Michael Degen, executive director at Messe Düsseldorf.
Berlemann worked as global head wine and spirits and director of ProWein from 2016 to 2019. He then took up project and staff responsibility for the event company’s portfolio in China, where he worked as general manager Messe Düsseldorf Shanghai, which includes ProWine Shanghai and ProWine Hong Kong.
