Bemakers brings Ube Cream Liqueur to Europe

Danish spirits distributor Bemakers has introduced a purple-hued Filipino Ube Cream Liqueur to the European market.

The cream liqueur is sustainably crafted using locally sourced ingredients, including sugarcane vodka, coconut husk and ube, a purple yam indigenous to the Philippines.

The ube root is known for its subtle nutty flavour with vanilla notes, and its resilience is said to ‘symbolise the strength of Filipino communities’.

“Ube Cream Liqueur’s distinction as the world’s best cream liqueur is a testament to its exceptional quality and unparalleled flavour profile. Its journey onto the global stage is an exciting development, especially as it makes its way into selected European markets through our partnership with Bemakers,” said Karsten Krauß, CEO of Topspirits, the brand owner.

“As it becomes available in Europe, we look forward to sharing this exquisite liqueur with discerning palates across the continent, inviting them to savour the essence of Filipino craftsmanship and heritage.”

Produced by Destileria Barako, established in 2016, the fiesta-themed cream liqueur combines tradition with innovation.

Ube Cream Liqueur can be enjoyed chilled, neat, on the rocks or mixed in cocktails.

Earlier this year, Bemakers also partnered with Radico Khaitan, Luchino Vodka and Burning Barn English rum to expand the brand’s distribution in Europe.
