Salitos gains new distributor in Poland

MBG Global Brands has signed a deal with Polish distributor CEDC International to distribute its Salitos Tequila in the region.

CEDC International will take over from Stock Spirits as Salitos Tequila’s new distributor in Poland

CEDC is part of the Maspex Group, Poland’s largest distributor, and distributes brands such as Żubrówka.

Previously, Salitos was distributed in Poland by Stock Spirits, which acquired Sierra Tequila and its parent brand Borco last year.

MBG Global Brands said that while the partnership with Stock Spirits was ‘fruitful’, recent developments such as the move to buy Sierra led to ‘ambiguity’ in regards to its position with Salitos.

Commenting on the new partnership, Nina Albers, head of sales and marketing at MBG Global Brands, said of CEDC: “Its proven track record and deep understanding of the Polish market make it an ideal partner for us.

“We are confident that together, we will unlock new opportunities and deliver exceptional value to our customers and consumers.”

MBG Global Brands hopes that the partnership will further strengthen Salitos’ presence in Poland and ‘reach new heights of success’ through the distributor’s extensive network.

Salitos has three expressions in its range: Tequila Gold, Tequila Solver and Tropical Chili.

It is made via a slow and open fermentation process in Jalisco, Mexico, from Blue Weber agave aged for eight years.

Along with distribution, CEDC will also be responsible for all marketing and sales of Salitos in Poland.

Based in Germany, MBG Global Brands also owns Italian brand Scavi & Ray, which produces a Limoncello and a Crema di Limoncello.

The Spirits Business recently spoke with Anette Lambert, senior brand manager of Scavi & Ray, to find out more about the company’s portfolio.
