Anker Amsterdam Spirits will now distribute Marquis de Montesquiou Armagnac in the Netherlands

The collaboration marks a significant step forward in the firm’s distribution of premium spirits in the Netherlands.

Jacobi Spirits, operating under the umbrella of Weinbrennerei Jacobi Gmbh, boasts a rich heritage dating to 1880. Under the leadership of Alexander Stein, who is the third generation to manage the brand, the company has earned a reputation for excellence in crafting and distributing exceptional spirits.

The latest venture sees Anker Amsterdam Spirits collaborating with the former owner of Monkey 47 to introduce a curated selection of spirits to the Dutch market. The offerings include Horse with No Name, Le Freak Potato Vodka, and Marquis de Montesquiou Armagnac.

Marquis de Montesquiou has gained awards such as the Gold and Grand Or distinctions at the Concours des Grandes Eaux-de-Vie d’Armagnac, and is often referred to as the ‘magic potion of Aquitaine’. Distilled from a blend of grapes and aged in French oak barrels, Marquis de Montesquiou is a testament to the savoir-faire and craftsmanship passed down through generations in Gascony.

Anker Horse with No Name BourbonThe Marquis de Montesquiou range will retail from €32.95 (US$36) to €72.50 (US$79) in the Netherlands.

Crafted by The Horse’s Spirit Company in the Black Forest, Horse with No Name aims to redefine Bourbon with its fusion of tradition and innovation. This unique spirit starts with a blend of Texas corn, red winter wheat, and proprietary yeast, aged for two years in charred oak barrels.

What sets Horse with No Name apart is its fiery twist — it is infused with habanero spirit for a tantalising heat that complements the Bourbon’s fragrant oak, vanilla, and coconut notes. It has a RRP of €38.95 (US$42) in the Netherlands.

Le Freak Potato Vodka, hailed as the ‘most effective potato soup in the world’, is a testament to the craftsmanship and dedication of its creators. Distilled from 100% German potatoes, Le Freak unlocks the essential flavours of the potato. With its creamy texture and nuanced notes of pepper and nutmeg, Le Freak embodies the spirit of innovation in vodka production.

It has a RRP of €38.95 (US$42) in the Netherlands.

The partnership between Anker Amsterdam Spirits and Alexander Stein heralds a new era of innovation and excellence in the Dutch spirits industry.
