Nemiroff vodka enters India
Ukrainian brand Nemiroff has launched in India through a partnership with Amistad Spirits, furthering its ambition of becoming a top-five vodka.
Amistad Spirits has an established network across India and distributes more than 100 premium liquor brands in the country. Its reach includes Rajasthan, Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Leh and Haryana.
Along with its connections, Nemiroff credited Amistad’s strong ethics and responsibility, along with its expertise in the alcohol beverage sector, making it the ideal distributor for the brand in India.
Nemiroff described India as a ‘vibrant’ market. According to IWSR Drinks Market Analysis, volume sales of alcoholic beverages in the region will see ‘rapid growth’ to 2027, with brown spirits at the forefront.
Last year, The Spirits Business caught up with with Nemiroff’s new chief marketing officer (CMO), Mykola Takzey, on the brand’s global growth strategy, including its aim of becoming a top-five premium vodka globally and expanding visibility in the global travel retail sector.
In 2023, the brand entered markets such as Iceland, Portugal and Romania, as it worked on achieving those goals.
It also debuted an ultra-premium vodka, named Lex by Nemiroff, at October’s Tax Free World Association (TFWA) annual conference in Cannes – which was created with the vision of ‘redefining the ultra-premium vodka experience’.
The production process for the expression involves 13 filtration stages; the final liquid was the result of more than 100 tastings after three years of development.
It was a Gold medallist in the ultra-premium vodka leg at the 2023 Luxury Masters blind-tasting competition.
In addition, the expression also took home Gold in last year’s Design & Packaging Masters, winning the medal for its “stunning bottle and Art Deco feel”.
