Connie Glaze gains UK retail listings

Cornwall-based vodka brand Connie Glaze has secured listings in UK supermarkets Tesco and Booths, just three months after its launch.

The vodka will be available in two UK supermarket chains

The vodka, produced by Southwestern Distillery, which also makes Tarquin’s Gin and Twin Fin Rum, can be found in 57 Tesco stores in the south-west of the UK, and 27 Booths stores in the north.

Tarquin Leadbetter, founder and master distiller at Southwestern Distillery, said: “We’re incredibly pleased with the support for Connie Glaze from premium retailers in its early days.

“Along with thousands of on-premise venues, we’re getting great feedback from customers who are keen to try something new in vodka.”

Southwestern Distillery says Connie Glaze was ranked the seventh bestseller in the vodka category on Amazon over the Christmas period. It is made by distilling 100% British wheat and is slowly filtered through purified, golden sand sourced from the wild Cornish coast.

“We like to say you buy the first bottle because it looks beautiful,” added Leadbetter. “The second because it tastes great and the third for a friend because you believe in the brand. It’s clear plenty of customers are keen to support a cause that helps keep the beaches of the UK clean.”

Connie Glaze is priced at £30 (US$37) per 700ml bottle and is presented in bag-in-box packs – an initiative in line with the brand’s commitment to sustainability.

In addition, 1% of all sales are donated to Beach Guardian CIC, an organisation that works to clean up Constantine Bay and the Cornish coast.
