B Corp certification is seen by the brand as a ‘natural step’ in its sustainable future

To gain the accreditation, businesses must hit a certain standard of social and environmental performance, public transparency and accountability. In its decision to certify a business, B Corp Certification evaluates the overall positive impact of a company.

The brand said the certification demonstrated its dedication to sustainability and social responsibility, which has been ‘deeply embedded’ in its ethos since it was founded in 2006.

It is seen as a ‘natural step’ in Brockmans’ sustainable future.

Neil Everitt, Brockmans founder, said: “It’s not just about making fantastic gin; it’s about doing it in a way that’s good for both the planet and people.

“The B Corp values also form the bedrock of Brockmans’ ‘Properly Improper’ philosophy, influencing every aspect of our brand and our belief in doing things properly; acting with integrity, authenticity and excellence.

“We recognise our duty to shape a brighter future, not only for the next generation but also for our team, suppliers, customers, shareholders, and the wider community as well.”

The brand’s gin portfolio includes the Agave Cut (an agave spirit-based expression infused with pink grapefruit), its flagship gin, and the Orange Kiss expression – made with triple sec and Valencia oranges.

The Agave Cut was listed as one of the most innovative launches from 2023.

In 2021, the brand reached one million bottle sales for the first time in a 12-month period.

Brockmans’ overall B Corp score was 80. The median score for businesses that complete the assessment is currently 50.9 points.

Other brands to have achieved B Corp status as of late include Moth, Caleño, Everleaf and Elephant Gin.
