Angel’s Envy reprises limited edition Bourbons

Bacardi-owned Angel’s Envy has re-released three limited edition Bourbons from its Cellar Collection Series.

Angels Envy
The collection features Bourbons finished in tawny Port wine barrels, oloroso Sherry casks and Madeira casks

The collection initially launched in 2019 with each expression finished in a different fortified wine cask: oloroso Sherry, tawny Port and Madeira.

The release presents the three Bourbons together in a set.

Owen Martin, master distiller at Angel’s Envy, said: “The Cellar Collection Series provides a tasting experience by comparing and contrasting the fortified wine finishes of these special whiskeys side by side.

“Limited in nature, our first three Cellar Collections eluded many fans – the Cellar Collection Series is a second chance to savour them for the first time.”

Martin was appointed master distiller at Angel’s Envy last year, switching from Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey.

The oloroso Sherry cask finish is bottled at 50% and has sweeter notes of raisin and hazelnut, while the tawny Port finish has an ABV of 55.8% and notes of dry fruit and oak. The last of the trio, the Madeira cask finish, has a 50% ABV and scents of caramelised banana and brown sugar on the nose, with smoke, leather and chocolate on the palate.

Cellar Collection Series Volumes 1-3 can be purchased in the US for US$399.99.

The brand completed a US$8.2m expansion of its distillery and visitor centre in 2022, which included a new events space, a bar, a larger retail space and five tasting rooms.

Bacardi acquired Angel’s Envy in 2015.
