Mintis Gin lands in Ukraine
Italian gin brand Mintis has entered Ukraine through a distribution deal with Wine-Hal.
Mintis Gin launched in 2021 and is now available in 30 countries. This year, it has signed distribution deals in the UK, Austria, Bulgaria, Croatia, the US and Denmark.
The gin range is distilled in a custom-made vacuum still in Torino Distillati in Moncalieri, which preserves the aromatic taste of local Pancalieri mint and local fruit.
The brand’s co-founder Stepan Stanek said: “We are very pleased that we can expand the distribution of Mintis Gin and thus refresh people with Italian mint and fruit in Ukraine as well.”
There are four expressions in the portfolio: Originale, Amarena, Ribesa (blackcurrant) and Clementina.
Zakhar Budko, CEO of Wine-Hal, commented: “We are very happy to represent Mintis here in Ukraine. Mintis is a perfect fit for our portfolio. Mintis is a very pleasant and outstanding gin, with great packaging and it appeals to the trend. All in all, a perfect match.”
In December, the brand won two Gold medals at The Gin Masters 2022 blind-tasting competition for its Amarena and Clementina expressions.
The flavoured spirits sector has been forecast to be valued at US$50.77 billion by 2029.
