London department store Fortnum & Mason has partnered with Highclere Castle Gin to create a Christmas hamper.

The hamper will be available exclusively to buy at the retailer’s flagship store in Piccadilly through Fortnum & Mason’s concierge team.

According to Highclere Castle Gin, the collaboration brings together two British brands known for ‘tradition, refinement and a commitment to quality’.

Highclere Castle in England is the setting for TV show Downton Abbey. The brand uses botanicals from the estate in its gin, such as oranges from its Victorian orangery.

The hamper contains a 700ml bottle of Highclere Gin, a copy of Lady Carnarvon’s book, Seasons at Highclere, and food and drink treats from Fortnum & Mason.

Among the Fortnum & Mason assortment are gin and tonic tea bags, garlic and chilli nuts, Fortnum’s Pink Marc de Champagne Truffles, French lavender honey, pistachio and clotted cream biscuits, lemon and parsley olives, and a tea infusion tin of apricot, honey and lavender.

Lady Carnarvon of Highclere Castle said: “We are thrilled to be working with Fortnum & Mason to bring a piece of the castle’s history and the magic of Christmas to homes around the world. We believe the combination of our gin and my book will make for a truly splendid gift this festive season.”

The Highclere Castle Gin & Book hamper is priced at £223.65 (US$275).

Highclere Castle Gin recently entered Connecticut after partnering with Breakthru Beverage Group on a state-wide distribution deal.
