St-Rémy partners with Lucas Beaufort

French brandy St-Rémy has created a limited edition bottle with artist Lucas Beaufort.

St-Rémy XO was given a new design by Lucas Beaufort

The French artist brought his street art influence into the design of the new St-Rémy XO bottle.

“Collaborating with St-Rémy on this project has been an incredible opportunity to fuse the worlds of art and savoire-faire,” said Beaufort.

“The design of this limited edition bottle encapsulates the spirit of both our artistic endeavours and the refined excellence of St-Rémy brandy.”

The limited edition design blends ‘dynamic’ colours and geometry to reflect Beaufort’s tasting of the XO brandy with the brand’s master blender, Cécile Roudaut.

He aimed to highlight the brandy’s flavours of vanilla, wood, ripe fruits and honey by using different shades of colours.

The brandy is made with eaux-de-vie from French vineyards such as Bordeaux, Loire Valley, Languedoc-Roussillon and Burgundy. It is bottled in the Loire Valley, where the brand was created.

The limited edition XO bottle is available to buy from Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Amazon for RRP £23.50 (US$29).

In September this year, St-Rémy partnered with Calvados producer Château du Breuil on the release of the final expression in the brand’s Cask Finish Collection.

St-Rémy’s Cask Finish Collection – which first launched in 2018 – has seen the release of brandies finished in Sauternes, PortSherryrum, Cabernet Sauvignon and Islay Scotch casks.

Parent company Rémy Cointreau saw sales fall by more than a third in the first quarter of 2023/2024 after Cognac plummeted in North America.
